Why prayer is dangerous …
DPRJones follows up his previous video with another excellent instalment.
The reaction to his previous video could have been easily predicted – people respond with accusations he is reading the Bible too literally, and not taking into account the symbolic, allegorical, or poetic nature of the text. Of course, how one determines which parts are to be interpreted in a given way do not seem to be objectively created. Instead, people tend to select their interpretations based on their preconceived notions. Differing sets of interpretations account the the vast number of Christian denominations in this world, ranging from fundamentalist to ultra conservative.
In this video DPR addresses the retorts and extends the idea to prayer.
