Note Left on Windscreen of Cars

Someone has been putting this under the windscreen wipers of cars around the Hobart area. Click image to embiggen.

What would you think if you returned to your car to find that attached to it?

I'm amused they even managed to make a spelling mistake while handwriting with "remains" in stead of "reminds" in the fourth paragraph.

I'd think someone had come off their anti-psychosis meds too early.

I'm pretty sure that English must be their second language. Either that or they were raised in the woods like Nell (excellent Jodie Foster film).

I'd think it was a tiny peek into a scattered, obsessed mind with little ability in the areas of communication or analysis. A tiny peek too much – but better that they leave this sad birdshit on your windscreen than accost you with it in person!

Speaking of accosting. Careful when you walk around the streets of Hobart for an older man in his late 50's early 60's who walks around with a camera, canon I believe, and I large tele lens. No offence to Canon users here. Anyway I have seen him twice now, talking religious shit to young girls and telling them all about god or some such bullshit. Anyway he looks creepy and he sounds it as well.

As for this thing, well what can I say, any excuse for propaganda and advertising. Easter is next, so that will be a hoot for this kind of crap being thrown in our faces. I hate easter!!

I love Easter; it's a great time to get chocolate and have a little break from school.

Interesting letter … obviously only the under educated would fall for something like that.

Reminds me of the commercials on TV that show a father and his daughter having a tender moment making a craft or some other relationship building exercise then as the story hits its climax you see its for Kleenex Tissue and find yourself pissed off that you got emotionally wrapped up in a marketing ploy to tissue.

I haven't had long notes like that placed on my car, but I've had other notes and pamphlets placed on my car like this one: http://godlesspaladin.files.wordpress.com/2008/12… I usually get them when I go to Walmart near "Liberty" "University". That's the "school" started by Jerry Falwell, the "9/11 is because of gays, feminists, liberals, atheists, etc" guy….. (My college is right next to his)

They are everywhere and their out to get me </paranoia>

Actually, you reminded me of some pamphlets I picked up while in New South Wales. Very much along the same lines. I was going to do a video on them, but then simply didn't. Maybe I will correct that.

The perfect God

I want a god whose ultimate goals which do not necessitate the creation of mysterious suffering and death. I want a god who doesn’t violate causation by causing things to begin to exist from nothing in the absence of time. I want a god who does not give us “free will” then punishes us for…

Atheism 2.0

“Atheism 2.0” is a 20 minute TED presentation by Alain de Botton in which he proposes a new approach to evangelising atheism. Alain suggests (apparently without evidence) that we have “secularised badly” and we should sift through the rituals, traditions, and behaviours of religion to identify and adopt their efficient mechanisms. “I have come here…

The Bizarre Bible

Atheists are often told by believers to read the Bible and it will all become clear.  Trouble is, many of us have tried that and it doesn’t seem to have helped.  Take these verses for example: This does not sound like a great night out to me. “But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master…
