1.4 – The Nerd Bunker

Time for another Godless Business podcast!  This week we were joined by two new panel members: Tammy (a real live woman, so we are told), and a mouse. We recorded this episode from The Nerd Bunker – a secret location full of uber-geeky equipment that is normally inhabited exclusively by men with beards and pocket protectors.

An the menu tonight we have listener email and talked the usual rubbish.  If you have any complaints, or wish to praise us on out fine work, please send an email to podcast@godless.biz.

Bon Appetit!

To embed album art into the mp3 file, you could use the program 'MP3Tag'?

So yeah, what did you all think of this weeks podcast? Anyone care to write a review. Just leave out bits where I obviously screwed up what I was trying to say or I didn't get to the point I was trying to make. Have to say it is much easier to write what I want to say than it is saying it live into a mic and trying to remember the right words in the right order according to the right story.

But I will get there eventually and until then you will all just have to deal with my somewhat inept abilities at live radio recording.

You are too harsh on yourself. I think you do a fine job.

Ouch, Make that 4 Zune users in this world. Ever since I dropped the Ipod (no love lost) i've used a Zune (listening to Godless biz on it right now). Never had any issue getting the podcast though. Zune isn't picky.

This study is 5 years old, but still really interesting.I was reminded of it when you were talking about how people would pray for you friend in the hospital with her baby: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4681771.stm

On the point of churches needing poor conditions to prosper, thought you might find this interesting: Look at the human development index ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by… ) and then a list of countries by religiosity. ( http://www.gallup.com/poll/114211/alabamians-iran… ) There seems to be a link between prosperity and religiosity; the more religious, the shitter the country. (With the US as the odd exception)

here is a pic of the 2 maps side by side:

I just started listening 10min ago and you guys have no idea how funny your Zune tangent is. The context you need, is to know that the pronounciation of Zune is very similiar to the Hebrew word for Fuck.
Now listen to yourself again, talking about bumping and squirting.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/askegg askegg

Hah! That's exactly what was going through my mind without knowing about the Hebrew word :)

Hi guys, new to the podcast (~ 15 listened). Nothing much to say, except I love the show, and I'm worried about you there due to the flood. I've given twice to The Australian Red Cross, and I urge others here to give a few bucks.

      Hey there!

      Thank you and welcome aboard.

We all live in areas thankfully unaffected by the floods, however many of our countrymen are doing it tough right now. Your support it greatly appreciated.

Atheism 2.0

“Atheism 2.0” is a 20 minute TED presentation by Alain de Botton in which he proposes a new approach to evangelising atheism.
